CSC Kicks Off Cloud Initiative

Expects to replace at least 2,500 PCs at financial institutions this year

Computer Sciences Corporation, the big consulting and outsourcing services company, has put in motion a company-wide cloud computing and software services initiative to deliver SaaS and managed cloud solutions. The operation will be run by ex-Microsoft VP, enterprise services Brian Boruff. Meanwhile, CSC's business process outsourcing (BPO) operation is busily installing Sun desktop virtualization and Sun Ray thin clients at customer sites. It expects to replace at least 2,500 PCs at financial institutions this year.
